ピーター・スミッソンの'CLIMATE REGISTER'を手に入れました。再版なのかな？
この本はピーター・ソルターが解説を書いているのですが、テキストの中にピーターが何度も何度も話していた空間の話がありました。以下引用。
"Later, I remember walking with them through nearby Kirby Hall, and entering a room with a large bay window. The window faced south-east and was fully glazed, with a timber seat at its sill. Sitting there in the morning, you could feel the sun streaming through the window to worm your back. The height of the window allowed sun deep into the room and the hearth of the fireplace was positioned at the margin where sun gave way to shade."
何気ないけど心地好い。そんな空間には必ず理由があるものですね。
10月は少しのんびり出来そうなので、Peter Salterからの教えを忘れないうちにまとめておくことにしようと密かに決意。
